Sports Weekly
Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2004-10-09 Summary: Fantastic MLB/NFL coverage ... If your interested in Major League Baseball or the National Football League (and hopefully both), this is the best magazine to buy. Coverage of all teams, lots of statistics, fair and balanced reporting and an enjoyable read every week. This is my favorite sports newspaper and the one I spend the most time with. ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2007-02-09 Summary: Football season must have ... This has been my favorite sports weekly(more like a newspaper)to read for the last few years, especially during football season. Since I read it for football I have to say that the coverage is indepth, unbiased and full of stats for the fantasy geeks. They even devote a complete section to fantasy football. Although I don't subscribe year round they do have half year subscriptions available that will cover your favorite seasonal sport predominantly, be it baseball(yawn) or football. The layout is easy to read and features ...more
[3] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-07-30 Summary: Baseball and Football Fans Rejoice! ... For sports fans who are addicted to both baseball and football, this is the magazine for you! Whether providing in-depth stories, up-to-date information, fantasy information, or your favorite team's news, Sports Weekly is second to none in covering both MLB and the NFL. I have received this newspaper on a weekly basis for 10 years and have immensely enjoyed each issue, as it keeps me up to date on the baseball/football worlds beyond my two favorite teams (the Minnesota Twins and Vikings). ...more
[4] Rating: 4 Date: 2007-01-28 Summary: Sports Weekly ... A good read for Football and Baseball enthusiasts. Published weekly it provides up to date information on who's hot and who's not, trade and roster speculation as well as in-dpeth articles about teams, players etc. The player and team ranking that come out prior to the season are solid and provide good insight. I'm not a big fan of articles that summarize and review a game that already happened - you can catch those highlights on Sportscenter. I prefer the "what's happening" in the world of sports which this offers. ...more

Sporting News
Editorial Reviews ... Product Description | With the Sporting News there's no waiting until next month for this week's stories, no looking through a different magazine for each sport. Weekly analysis and previews on football, baseball, basketball and hockey....more

Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-10-28 Summary: one great magazine! ... This is the only magazine that I receive that I read cover to cover, then bring to school for my students to read. The articles are short enough to hold your attention but long enough to tell you what you need to know. In every issue there are several articles that are fantastic and the rest are very good, more than you can say for the average magazine! ...more

Sports Illustrated (1-year)
Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 4 Date: 2008-09-15 Summary: It meets a need ... I subsribe to 3 sporting magazines. ESPN, Sporting News, and Sports Illustrated. ESPN is too flashy and in your face for me. Sporting News is a quick informative read of games / leagues / teams. Sports Illustrated is mored informative than either of the above magazines, however it tends to take itself too seriously. Each issue has one story that just seems to go on and on forever. The magazine has lowered its price and is well worth the money. ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-09-29 Summary: Great and Informative Magazine ... I send this to my nephew every year as a gift and he shares with all of his friends. They really like to see this magazine come. You see, he and his friends are in prison and usually do not have current information on sports. So this is a blessing to all of them! ...more
[3] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-03-10 Summary: Sports Ilustrated subscription ... I have always wanted a subscription to Sports Illustrated but found the cost prohibitive. But then Amazon came through with an amazing deal - I couldn't pass it up, plus I had a coupon. Sports Illustrated has the most amazing photographs and their stories are tops - I'm very satisfied. ...more
[4] Rating: 4 Date: 2008-02-25 Summary: Great Insight to the Sports World ... Having not been a subcriber to SI in a while I was pleasantly surprised in the magazine articles and magazine format. They have more smaller articles and statistics rather for the busy reader who doesn't have time to read multipage articles. One disappointment: I was bummed not to see Rick Riely's articles at the back of the magazine anymore. ...more

In each issue, "Inside the Week in Sports" keeps the fan in touch with the major sports news, while "Scorecard" offers SI 's spin on the week....more
